Brittani Lazah Simmons

Brittani Lazah Simmons, age 26, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Brittani Lazah Simmons was born on February 16, 2000, to Isaac Sr. and Kimberly Simmons.

She graduated from Estacado High School and went on to serve as a correctional officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). She was funny, hardworking, loved to dance but she was shy, sweet, kind, and respectful. She was great in athletics.

Brittani is preceded in death by her mother Kimberly Simmons, her grandfather James Lee Chavez, her maternal great grandparents, and her grandfather Isiah Bowman.

Brittani leaves behind to cherish her memory, her father Isaac Simmons Sr., her grandparents Amelia Alcozer, and Ola Mae Simmons, her son Kalen Simmons, her brother Isaac Rayon Simmons, her niece Avery Guzman, her nephews Rylo Simmons, Ace Simmons, and Matthew Guzman, and a host of other relations and friends.
