Bobbye Marie Gamble

Bobbye Marie Gamble, 77, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 1 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Bobbye Marie Gamble was born November 26, 1948, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Leroy and Eveline Jones. She was the fourth of 13 children. The family later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she graduated from Dunbar-Struggs High School in 1968.

A born caregiver, Bobbye put her heart and soul into raising her children and showing love to all, she met. She dedicated her life to Jehovah God by baptism on November 21, 1981. She married Clarkie Gamble on May 10, 1997. With his love and support, Bobbye was able to channel her compassion into a profession when she achieved her dream of becoming a nurse in 1999, graduating from South Plains College Vocational Nursing Program.

Bobbye is preceded in death by her mother Everline Jones; her father Leroy Jones; her brothers Billy Wayne Jones, Roy Lee Jones, and Lee Jones; her sisters Betty Wynn and Clemetine Williams.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who mourn her which, including her husband Clarkie; her son Tony Pruitt (wife Tena); her daughters Portia Priutt, Shane Pruitt, and Jennifer Sayles (husband Damon); her sons Christian Pruitt (wife Makesha) and Shelton Pruitt-Gamble; six bonus children; 13 grandchildren Amaya, Tarris, Dylan, Trace, Zakiyah, Kevin, Jordyn, Toi, Kennedy, Nyla, Ronald, Nia, and Akari; two great-grandchildren Scarlett and Arabella; her sisters Margie Jefferson, Peggy Jones, Helen Cage, and Tracey Oduor, her brothers Victor Jones, Dewayne Jones, and Kenneth Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
