Blasa Vleazy Guadalupe Torrez

Blasa "Vleazy" Guadalupe Torrez was born June 5, 1955, in Cheyenne Wyoming to Vicente Torrez Sr. and Lorina Torrez.  She passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, in Abernathy, TX surrounded by her family.  Services for Vleazy will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 AM in Abernathy Texas at Abernathy United Church followed by a graveside burial at Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. A viewing will be held for family and friends on Friday, May 10th starting at 10:00 AM at Abernathy United Church followed by a wake service from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.

Vleazy will be remembered as a vibrant soul who cherished every moment, taught us the value of joy and laughter, and showed us the beauty of living life to the fullest. Her strength and spirit were evident across her life, shining through despite the personal tragedies she endured. Through it all, her legacy of love and passion for life and her family will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.

Vleazy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She danced often and loved deeply those who had the privilege to know her. She was a woman with a remarkable spirit and joy and enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her daughter Veronica Trevino, her son LeeRoy Trevino, her parents Vicente Torrez Sr. and Lorina Torrez, and her beloved brother Arturo Torrez.

Survivors include her sons, Ramon Trevino III and his wife Ophelia, and Florencio Trevino and his wife Jessica, both residing in Abernathy, TX. Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings: Rita Ponce and her husband Ruben, Mary Adcox and her husband Anthony, Esabel Aguado and her husband Juan, Rosie Sandel, Donna Rodriguez, Vicente Torrez and his wife Helena, Sylvester Torrez and his wife Nettie, Miguel Torrez and his wife Esther, and Selso Torrez and his wife Luisa. Vleazy is also survived by her cherished 19 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she deeply loved and influenced.
