Billy DeShawn Newman

Billy DeShawn Newman passed away unexpectedly Ocotber 1, 2026 at the age of 49. Billy DeShawn Newman was born April 21, 1977, in Lubbock, TX to Vanita Lois Newman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. 

He attend Monterey High School in 1990 and graduated in 1992. Billy was full of joy and love, he had no wife nor children. Billy enjoyed anyone that he came in contact with.

After some years he went on to Daybreak Residential Homes. Billy was non-verbal, but always could get his point across. His mothe was with him when he passed on

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Deloris Dickson Newman.

He is survived by his mother, Vanita Newman Turner, his father Earl Turner Jr., two brothers James Earl Newman and E-Jay Turner of Sam Angelo. He also have two sisters LaSheay Turner and TaSheay Turner both of Chicago, his aunt Laura Ann Pritchard (Ben), his nieces Rodnesha, Rasheda, Nicquesha, annbresha, Jai, Jshanay, Monique, Za’Kayedria, and Shakira, his hephews James, Dominquo, Nadarion, Savion, Dionte, and J’Zerryian, his grnd nieces Za’Niyah, Ryilee, Iyonnie, Nevah, Jenesys, Honesty, and Truly, his grand nephews Ja’Mari, Aesir, Jae’Cron, Alyn, Ta;Ryan, Zakai, and Brent, and a host of other relatives and friends.
