Betty Ann Miller

Betty Ann Miller,75, departed this life on Friday, July 25th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 11 am at Great Faith Community Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, August 8th, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Betty Ann Miller was born December 3rd, 1949, in Sudan, TX to Roosevelt Sloan and Mattie Lee Sloan.

Betty was very crafty, ceramics, drawing, painting, and sewing. She also loved being outside. Known for her green thumb planting pretty flowers and fresh veggies. Also known for her awesome cooking that no one turned down. She was a powder puff race car driver, fun fishing partner, loved music but most importantly she loved God.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband James Miller, her daughter Joycelyn Moss, her father Roosevelt Sloan, her mother Mattie Lee Purdue, her sisters Linda Ford and Gloria Vanzant, and her brother James Sloan.

Betty is survived by Eva Johnson (Alton), her daughter Barbara Miller, her sisters Bobbie Acy, and Janet Sloan, her brothers Robert Sloan and Edward Sloan, her grandchildren Jomeeka Moss, LaDaires Moss, Joshua Jackson (Morgan), Jessica Stevens and Marcus Stevens, her 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
