Andrew spent most of his youth in Houston, TX and was educated in Houston Public Schools, but received his GED through the Texas Education Agency. As a youth and some of his adult years, Andrew spent some time incarcerated, but his spiritual roots were strong that always drew him back to God to fulfill his God-given purpose. Andrew attended Powerhouse and Holy Trinity C.O.G.I.C. in Houston where he became a great musician playing the guitar. Andrew served his final assignment at Victory in Praise Christian Fellowship Church under the tutelage of Superintendent Christopher and Lady Melody Moore for over 15 years. In this capacity, Andrew served as an elder, Evangelist, Visionary, Leader, 12-step Spiritual Facilitator, Musician, Mentor, Encourager, and the Man of Faith. Andrew and Janet became entrepreneurs in which they had a landscaping, cleaning, and auto detail shop. Andrew faced a lot of physical ailments in his life but shocked the doctors and the world through his faith and favorite saying, “But God.” God’s plan for Andrew was enhanced after serving his last term at the Montford Unit when he met his love and joy, Janet Simmons in Lubbock, Texas. Andrew and Janet were perfect for each other spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. One year within their union Andrew received a kidney from his God-given gift, Janet. Love in 2008. Andrew and Janet were united together on April 23, 2007. To this union Andrew inherited a daughter, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a mother-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law.
